Qui a déjà vu Mark Oliver « E » Everett et son groupe en concert sait qu’il doit s’attendre à chaque fois à quelque chose de différent… Aucun concert de Eels ne ressemble à un autre, et c’est bien pour ça qu’on aime ce sacré personnage, mi-Droopy mi-savant fou.

Pour la première fois de sa carrière erratique, le songwriter sort un disque live, ainsi qu’un DVD. Intitulé Eels With Strings: Live at Town Hall, le disque présente le concert qu’a donné Eels en juin dernier au Town Hall de New York, accompagné d’un quartette à cordes et d’une horde de multi-instrumentistes.

Avis aux collectionneurs: la version DVD contient 8 chansons non présentes sur le CD, et sur ce dernier, c’est à moitié pareil (traduction: 4 titres non disponibles sur le DVD y font très bonne figure). En voici le contenu:
