The core gameplay is incredibly simple : you’re presented with a 3D model of a planet, usually Earth-like, and a menu of destructive tools. These aren’t your garden-variety missiles ; we’re talking laser beams that carve through continents, swarms of asteroids that pepper the surface, and even alien invasions. The beauty of Solar Smash lies in its freedom. There are no restrictions, no win conditions, just pure, unadulterated destruction.
You simply select your weapon of choice and then aim and fire (or deploy, depending on the weapon) at the hapless planet. The game’s physics engine then takes over, realistically simulating the impact and the resulting devastation. Watch as continents crumble, oceans boil away, and the planet slowly (or quickly !) disintegrates into a cloud of debris. You can even adjust the parameters of your weapons, like the size and power of your laser beam, to fine-tune your destructive masterpiece.
